Position Summary:
Our client in the North Houston, TX area is looking for a Quality Manager to provide direction and implementation of all necessary food safety and quality programs to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance of the company's operations.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in development and implementation of quality systems and procedures, work instructions and forms
- Flowchart key business processes
- Research, develop, and conduct training in quality management principles or regulations
- Assist in the management of corrective and preventative action systems
- Assist with the follow-up of any open CARs/PARs and work with personnel on root cause analysis and planning
- Demonstrate Continuous improvement in all food safety systems; analyze quality data and performance, to provide information and insight on business improvement opportunities
- Chart, evaluate and report data for quality system metrics
- Prepare formal reports for management personnel on key performance measures
- Prepare presentations for quality related reports
- Assist in implementation of statistical quality control programs
- Assist in development and execution of process, software, and analytical validation protocols
- Maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 17025
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology or Science-related field
- Computer proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience with reviewing SOPs and Audit Responses
- MUST have experience with ISO 17025
