Do You Know the Chemistry of Fireworks?
Sodium produces yellow/gold colors, barium creates green, copper compounds produce blue, strontium salts give you red, and titanium metals give you silver colored sparks. Antimony gives you a "glitter" effect and magnesium and copper can also increase the overall brilliance and brightness as well as deepen the colors.
Other commonly used chemicals are carbon which provides the fuel and oxidizers which produce oxygen for burning.
