Position Summary:
Our client in The Woodlands, TX area is looking for a PhD Level Food Scientist to assist in their inspection laboratory.
Essential Functions:
- Developing formulations and specifications that meet the appropriate nutritional, regulatory, and consumer requirements
- Design product formulations from concept to the finished product
- Document processes and procedures
- Update and maintain R&D records
- Collaborate with external customers with sample request
- Perform and confirm formulation
- Prepare technical documents
- Conduct ongoing product testing
- Maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 17025
Qualifications:
- PhD in Food Science, Microbiology, or Science-related field preferred
- Instrumentation experience and method development experience with LC/QQQ, GC/QQQ, and preferably ICP/MS as well
