POSITION SUMMARY:
The Environmental Monitoring Technician is responsible for environmental monitoring activities for a cGMP regulated manufacturing facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collect routine samples for air viable, surface viable, and air non-viable EM samples
- Monitor purified water system for Bioburden, TOC, and conductivity
- Clearly and accurately report data on required worksheets and reports
- Perform testing according to schedule and SOP’s
- Conduct testing for microbial contamination in systems
- Manage organism library for documenting and archiving organisms found in cleanrooms
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in related science field with 1 year of industry experience required
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with cGMP, GLP, and GDP strongly preferred
- Must be able to quickly learn new techniques
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products
